Resource Volunteers

V-Europe with the support of the Federal Ministry of Justice is running a project to support and promote the recovery and well-being of victims of terrorism, and their families.


We are looking for dedicated volunteers, with experience as victim advocates, to assist victims in overcoming obstacles, engaging with local resources and services, and receiving their legal rights and benefits. The volunteers will be in direct contact with the victims/survivors, assessing their needs, and assisting them through formal processes to support their recovery. Traveling throughout Belgium might be needed. 

Requirements


    • Professionals with university degree (social work/psychology/criminology) – is a plus 

    • Excellent language skills - Dutch and French. Good knowledge of English. German an asset

    • Articulate, sensitive, caring and dedicated

    • No criminal record

    • Willingness to travel throughout Belgium if needed 

    • Minimum availability of 2 days a week

    • One-year commitment 

    • Specialized Training will be provided
