On January 30, 2024, V-Europe participated online in the International Workshop on Trauma-Informed Practices: Improving Support for Professionals in Public Institutions.
This workshop was organized by the Research Line on 'Human Rights and Transitional Justice,' coordinated by Stephan Parmentier at the Leuven Institute of Criminology, KU Leuven, in collaboration with the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
With the rising prevalence of Post-Traumatic Stress symptoms in Europe, awareness of trauma-informed practices is becoming increasingly important. Various speakers from international organizations, as well as from the research and policy fields, elaborated on these practices, and there was time afterward for a discussion among the workshop participants.
