The Court of Cassation dismissed the appeal of Nacer Bendrer, who had previously been sentenced to fifteen years in prison by the Court of Assizes as co-perpetrator of the terrorist attack on the Jewish Museum of Belgium.
Philippe Vansteenkiste, President of the victims association V-Europe and representative of the French Association of Victims of Terrorism AfVT at the trial, calls it "incomprehensible" who the defence of Bendrer has gone to Cassation without presenting any documents. A possible explanation is that Bendrer was now able to argue on another trial in France that his sentencing in Belgium was pending.
